Combat is inevitable. At some point there will be a duel, an alley way scuffle, a drunken bar brawl, or the like. When it occurs you can find how to handle playing it through here.
For starters there will be no map or grid to display characters on. It will be based solely on description of the posters how far the combatants start out, whether one is running down the other from the end of the alley or they are already engaging each other from the start, toe-to-toe in a duel. I'm here for rulings when they are needed, just ask. Such as needing to know how long the alley is if one needs to run from one end to the other in order to engage an archer or to find out if someone is within bow range.
Each post for each combatant should contain a description of what the character is intending to do (keeping in mind the restrictions of Greater and Lesser Actions as per the rules) followed by their combat statistics enclosed in a BBCode table like below:
At first that appears like a daunting and pain in the arse piece of BBCode but, by using the Preview button in the bottom left of the thread reply or creation window you can easily click on the Table button along the top, leave it at the default 2 row and 2 column table and put a check in the box next to Border, and click Insert Table, it'll throw the table into the thread for you automatically wherever you cursor is at and you can type directly into it without jacking with BBCode .
HP stands for Health or Hit Points, CD is Combat Defense, Injuries/Wounds is how many you've taken of each, and AR is your current Armor Rating. Here's an example:
And finally the results of the dice roll should be posted. Such as the roll for initiative at the beginning of combat, attack rolls, or movement checks for climbing obstacles and such.
