The game will be driven by objectives of various levels. There will be player objectives that are specific to your individual character's wants, goals, and desires. Such as your squire achieving knighthood. Then there will be bigger objectives that many players will have to work together towards to further their house. Such as arranging a profitable marriage in order to further the house's standing. The players will receive rewards of gold, experience, etc. for achieving their personal goals and all the players who participated and the house as well will be rewarded for achieving the greater objectives.
Most all of these will function as complex intrigues. You'll be given certain tasks or will need to set out on your own in order to find the opportunities to make things happen. As you complete these you'll earn victory points and once you reach the requisite number of victory points, you'll have accomplished the objective and be rewarded. The more difficult the objective, the more victory points are required they'll be more risky to achieve, but the reward will be greater.
Just because these are treated like complex intrigues does not mean that you need to perform just intrigues to acquire victory points. Combat can sometimes be just as effective towards earning victory points.
The objectives for your house will be found in your house board and your character's personal objectives can be found under their own character board as well. Share these or keep them secret from others as you see fit. The rewards and consequences (the immediate and foreseeable consequences anyway ) of reaching your objective will always be displayed with each objective.
It would be advised to maybe cuss and discuss between other members of your house in your house forum to decide which objectives your characters could, would, or should work towards together and how best they can contribute.
