Name: | Ser Symon Kytley |
Age: | 18 |
Background: | The firstborn grandson of the younger brother of old Lord Elric, Duncan. Duncan Kytley left Westeros for Braavos many years ago, where he has became known as a wealthy "merchant prince" with ties to the Iron Bank (though some rumors say he was a pirate). He returned to Westeros to fight against Robert's rebellion with his half-Braavosi son Theobald. With them came Theobald's Targaryan wife Annaerhys (some rumors say her father was a bastard), and their infant son Symon. After Theobald was slain at the Battle of the Bells, Annaerhys fell ill and never recovered, dying of a broken heart. When the rebellion ended, Symon, only four, was sent as a ward to Lord Jason Mallister. Duncan returned to Braavos and has not returned since. Symon has spent most of his life amongst the Mallisters. He served as a page, then squire to Lord Jason alongside Lord John's son Patrek. He has been noted to be a superb horseman, and shortly after becoming Lord John's squire he won a prize at the Tourney of Lannisport (celebrating the defeat of the Greyjoy rebellion) riding at rings. He is also thought of as virtuous; though he is quite attractive (and, according to rumors, rather wealthy) he has not been known to take lovers, visit whorehouses, or engage in the sort of debauchery that House Kitley became known for under Jamys Kitley. Symon has recently been knighted, and has returned to Hammerstone. |
Appearance: | Being one quarter Braavosi and an eighth Targaryan, Symon is just exotic enough to attract attention without seeming too foreign. He is quite attractive, with thick black hair that curls around his head, and blue-violet eyes that hint towards Targaryan ancestry. He is lithely muscled, more grace than bulk. He tends towards fine clothes in black and lavender, colors that emphasize his eyes. |
Equipment: | In the Yard: brigandine, spear, large shield At Court: Noble garb, dagger, belt pouch |
