Name: Ingraham Hoyle
Sometimes referred to as an "ashen" septon or godsworn
Age: 22
Background
Born in Riverrun to a religious family, some of whose hedge knights had fought for House Tully against the Mad King, Ingraham was brought up a devout for the Seven, and pursued religious studies as a boy. The family got by with no financial trouble, but were far from wealthy or well-off. In spite of this, Ingraham saved up for his own advanced studies at the Stoney Sept. Part of his personal studies there included unused or dead languages, deciphering ancient text, and healing. Apart from his parents, his grandfather still lives, having survived during the Aerys II's rule and the rebellion to tell horrific tales, and of his uncle's death. Beginning his travels in Riverrun as wandering godsworn, Ingraham chanted the hymns for the ears of any who would come to know the ways of the faithful. His services as a healer and official witness for the Seven were what he plied for hospitality and supplies, and he plied other skills for coin as a resource.
Personality
Ingraham is a kind, compassionate, soft-hearted young man known for his tendency towards clemency, which has earned him respect of many smallfolk in his travels, though it is hardly surprising considering he is also smallfolk. He possesses a strong sense of justice, marked by his prayers to the Father and, at times, Warrior. Those who know him regard his overall methods to be slightly unorthodox, and those who pass him by on the road may consider that as well just from what they notice. As a godsworn, he takes his role seriously; he did not choose it lightly or with regret.
Appearance
Of a fleshy, yet lean, trim build, Ingraham stands at a standard height of 6ft even, weighing in just below average at 11 stone. Most apparent, from his near-platinum blonde hair, pale complexion and ice blue eyes, is his birth defect: Ingraham was born with albinism. He makes a minimal effort to look his best, but an effort nonetheless, with his hair trimmed short and close, and his cheeks and chin shorn absent of facial hair. In all things, his hand movements flit and flow gracefully, his thin fingers practiced in precision, in contrast to his paltry figure.
Equipment
Though he doesn't carry it with him at all times, most apparent among Ingraham's possessions is a heavy crossbow slung over his back, under a backpack, which rustles with the sound of various items within clinking together as he moves. A lantern hangs over his shoulder alongside his pack. His crystal prism hangs brazenly upon his breast, over his brown leggings and tunic and his terse brown robe, the symbol of his place in the clergy as a begging brother. An all-purpose dagger is sheathed and strapped to the belt around the waistline of his robe, which conceals more than his modesty. The only other visible item is the pair of cheap leather shoes he wears on his feet.
